Modern Sonnet 18

Could I compare you to a summer day?
No, you are much more lovely,
Harsh winds will shake the pretty May flowers
And summer does not last long enough.
You are more beautiful than heaven
And shine brighter than God himself.
You will never look bad because
There is nothing nature can do to make that happen.
But the summer that is your beauty will never fade
Neither can death claim your ever lasting charm.
As long as I am alive and can gaze upon your lovely face
My love for you will stay and give me life.
